A Morning Walk
This piece was influenced by artist Jacob Lawerence and his series of paintings of the nightlife in the 50’s. I wanted to created a version of the morning after.

Looking at the painting “The Brown Angel” by Jacob Lawrence, his use of multiple perspectives made me think of a corner store.

Noticing his series of nightlife club scenes made me think of the morning after a night outting.

By creating the light source at an angle putting emphasis of warming colors around the right corner, I want it to feel like the sun is peaking instead of wide awake.

My Series Human Stigma & Identities, explains the connection stigma and identity has on human experience. I wanted to show this by bringing awareness to the type of conversations we have with ourselves and with others.
